Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is an entrance test for all teachers in relevant states. Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by both governments such as Central and State governments to find out the eligible candidates in government schools and colleges. The recruitment is done for education in schools of education such as Lower and Middle and Upper.

TET Entrance exam is divided into 2 papers. Paper 1 and Paper 2 . Paper 1 which is for Class 1 to 5 and paper 2 which is for class 6 to 8.
Eligibility Criteria for paper 1:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Course and Diploma in Teacher Education or Diploma in Elementary Education from a Recognized Teacher Training Institute
for the Final Year Examination of D.E.Ed. candidates are allowed to appear for this exam. during the current Academic Year are also allowed to appear for Paper I in the TET Exams.
Eligiblity Criteria For Paper II:
Candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s Degree B.A or B.Sc or B.Litt.) with History Botany, Zoology and Geography ,Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, , as major subjects in their Degree course or a Degree with any one of the equivalent subjects from a Recognized University under 10+2+3 Pattern and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) from a Recognized University.
The candidates with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree should possess their knowledge either D.T.Ed , B.Ed. or. or TP
TET Exam 2017:
Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test conducts for Paper I on 29.04.2017 and Paper II on 30.04.2017 according to hiring the eligible candidates to fill the vacancy of Primary Teacher in government school of Tamil Nadu State.
Age Limit:
The applying candidates should be more than 18 years and less than 38 years of age is required.
Mark Score Details:
Candidates need to score at least 60% marks to pass the eligibility criteria for TET. The marks relaxation on based on SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD and other reserved communities .In the recruitment process, those applicants who secure higher marks will get the preference. All the schools and educational institutions give weight age to TET Scores in the final selection process.
