IBPS PO Syllabus:
IBPS PO Exam Syllabus is much similar from the other PO Bank Exams. The IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three different mode which is listed below:
- IBPS PO Prelims Exam
- IBPS PO Mains Exam
- IBPS PO Interview
Each examinee should acquire a minimum score in each test (Prelims and Mains) of the online Main exam and also a minimal total score will be considered as shortlisted for the further interview. Based on the number of vacancies available, IBPS PO Cut-Off will be fixed and examinees will be finalized for interview.
Before concluding the interview process, scores acquired in the main exam won’t be shared with the examinees shortlisted for the interview process. A examinee should succeed both in the Main Exam and Interview sufficient marks will be considered for the final appointment. Thus, the final selection will be based on the marks scored by the examinee in the IBPS PO Mains Exam and Interview as well (Mains + Interview).
IBPS PO Exam Syllabus and Pattern For Prelims:
The IBPS PO Preliminary exam is the initial stage for the IBPS PO Recruitment. This will be the screening round.
- The Prelims stage of IBPS PO will consists of three sections with a total time duration of 1 Hour.
- This pattern will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions totally.
- Candidates should qualify in each of the three exams by acquiring minimum cut-off marks which is fixed by IBPS.
- An sufficient number of examinees from each category as decided by IBPS which depends on the requirements will be shortlisted for Main Examination.

IBPS PO Exam syllabus and Pattern For Mains
This is the second stage of the IBPS PO Exam. The examinees who qualified in the Prelims exam will be permitted to appear for the IBPS PO Mains Exam.
There will be four segments for the IBPS PO Mains Exam with an additional section of the English Language which will be conducted on the same day of the main exam.
- The IBPS PO Mains Exam will consists a total of 200 MCQ’s with a total time duration of 3 Hours.
- There will be separate timing provided for each section just like the IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
- The candidates should get pass mark in each section.
- Introduction of Descriptive Test: 25 Marks
Same like SBI PO Exam, IBPS has added the descriptive test for 25 Marks in the PO Mains Exam. The examinees should write an essay and a letter for 25 marks. The English Language exam is to evaluate the candidate’s writing skills and it is mandatory to clear this paper by acquiring a minimal cut off.
