The Reserve Bank of India conducts The RBI Exam annually to recruit personnel to the RBI Assistant’s post. This online exam is similar to the IBPS common exam for PO & Clerical posts. RBI notification for the recruitment of Assistant is likely to be released in May/ June 2017 and the online registrations are likely to close in July 2017.  The exam is scheduled to be held in August 2017. General candidates must be between 18 and 28 years of age as on 1st June, 2017 to be eligible for this year’s exam. A minimum of 50% passing score at the graduation level is a must for General quota candidates. These criteria are relaxed for other quotas, please refer to the final notification once released. The Pay scale has been hiked from the previous Rs. 24,000 to Rs. 32,000. Before you apply for this exam keep a scanned image of your recent photograph and signature ready. Also have a valid email ID and a mobile number.

 

The first step of this 3 step RBI Assistant Exam 2017 is the Preliminary Exam. This one hour, 100 marks paper is divided into 3 sections, namely:

  • English – 30 questions weighing 30 marks
  • Numerical Ability – 35 questions weighing 35 marks
  • Reasoning Ability – 35 questions weighing 35 marks

 

Selected candidates will be invited to attend the Main Exam, which is two hours long and weighs 200 marks.

  • Quantitative – 40 questions worth 40 marks
  • General Awareness – 40 questions worth 40 marks
